In addition to alpine skiing, it is also one of the best resorts suited for cross country skiing. It is perfect for individuals who are looking for intense vacations and a bit of adrenaline rush. Those whose most intense vacation so far is playing texas holdem in a posh casino is in for an exhilarating experience. Mostly visited by families, Laqlouq had its first ski lift installed in 1958, followed by major enhancements to the slopes and the creation of a very qualified ski school. Unlike other resorts, the area surrounding the slopes is nearly free of buildings and construction. Places of interest in the vicinity is the legendary cave of Afqa, 15 minutes drive from the resort, and the abyss at Balou , one of the most remarkable of Lebanon s beauty spots with natural arches and a waterfall.
